These terms govern the use of the software, applications and integrations built and operated by Macsta (together, "Macsta Software and Services") and of this website. They apply to every Macsta application that links to this page. By using any of them, you agree to these terms.

What Macsta Software and Services are

Macsta builds and operates software for its own use and for the client businesses it works with, such as content publishing tools and appointment booking and customer messaging systems. These applications are not offered to the public for sign up. Each one acts only on accounts owned by Macsta or by the client business that has authorised it.

Permitted use

• Our applications are operated by Macsta, by the client businesses we provide them to, and by personnel those businesses authorise.
• They are used only to publish content the account owner owns or is licensed to publish, and to handle messages and bookings addressed to that account owner.
• They are used in accordance with the terms and developer policies of each platform they connect to, including the Meta Platform Terms, the TikTok Developer Terms and the YouTube API Services Terms.

If you contact a business that uses our software

When you message or book with a business that uses Macsta Software and Services, your agreement for the service itself (a tattoo appointment, for example) is with that business, not with Macsta. We provide the software the business uses to receive and answer your message. How your data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

Content

Content published or exchanged through our software remains the property of its respective owner. Each account owner is responsible for ensuring that what it publishes or sends complies with the law and with the community guidelines of the platform concerned.

Platform authorisation

Our applications connect to third party platforms using their official APIs and only the permissions the account owner grants. That authorisation can be withdrawn at any time through the relevant platform's settings. We do not attempt to circumvent any platform restriction, rate limit or review requirement.

Availability and warranty

This website and our software are provided on an "as is" basis, without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may modify or withdraw any service at any time. Where we provide software to a client business under a separate agreement, that agreement takes precedence over this section.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Macsta is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website or our software. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
